FAQs

Jacob's Ladder

  • When can you start my job?

Our project start dates depend on several factors, including the project's scope, our current workload, and weather conditions. After receiving your deposit and material selections, we'll provide an estimated start date and keep you informed of any changes. We aim to begin your project as quickly as possible while maintaining our high standards of quality.
  • Do you use subcontractors?

We employ both subcontractors and direct employees. All our workers, whether subcontractors or employees, work exclusively for Jacob's Ladder. This ensures consistency, reliability, and excellent craftsmanship. We thoroughly vet and train each individual to meet our professional standards.
  • What is the difference between a manufacturer's warranty and a company/labor warranty?

A manufacturer's warranty covers defects in the materials themselves, such as siding or roofing shingles. This warranty varies by product and brand. Our company/labor warranty, on the other hand, covers our workmanship, ensuring proper installation. If any issues arise due to installation errors within the warranty period, we'll make the necessary repairs at no cost to you.
  • I would like to move forward with my project. Do you have financing options?

We do offer financing options through our trusted partners to help make your project more affordable. During your consultation, we'll be happy to guide you through the financing application process and discuss the available terms.
  • How often should I have my house power washed?

We recommend power washing your home at least annually to remove accumulated dirt, mold, and mildew. If your home is surrounded by trees or exposed to harsh weather conditions, you might benefit from power washing every 6-9 months.
  • When is it too cold to perform your services?

While we operate year-round, extreme cold can affect certain materials and installation processes. For instance, roofing and painting are best performed when temperatures are above 40°F to ensure proper adhesion and curing. In severe weather conditions, we may suggest rescheduling to maintain the highest quality results.
  • Do you have high pressure salespeople?

We don't employ high-pressure sales tactics. Our team consists of friendly professionals who are passionate about home improvement projects and dedicated to helping you find the right solutions. Even if we're not the right fit for your needs, we're always happy to answer your questions.
  • How can I tell which business to work with for my home project?

Choosing the right home improvement company can be challenging. We recommend meeting with at least three companies and paying close attention during these meetings. Consider their sales approach, product range, and customer reviews. Check their Better Business Bureau listing and ask to speak with recent customers. At Jacob's Ladder, we employ consultants, not salespeople, who offer a range of choices and educate you throughout the process.
  • What CC do you accept?

We accept Visa and MasterCard for payment, with a small processing fee to cover associated costs. American Express and Discover are not currently accepted. We also offer financing options through third-party lenders for your convenience.
  • What is your minimum project rate?

Our minimum project rate varies based on the season and scope of work. We require at least a full day's work for our crew to ensure we can allocate the necessary resources and deliver high-quality results. Please contact us for a brief consultation to determine if your project meets our minimum requirements.
