    Our team works year-round, but extreme cold can affect certain materials and installation processes. For example, roofing and painting are best done when temperatures are above 40°F to ensure proper adhesion and curing. If weather conditions are too severe, we may recommend rescheduling to maintain the highest quality results.
  • When can you start my job?
    Start dates vary based on the scope of work, current workload, and weather conditions. Once we have your deposit payment and material selections, we’ll provide a projected start date and keep you updated on any changes. Our goal is to begin your project as soon as possible while ensuring we maintain our high-quality standards.
  • Do you use subcontractors?
    Yes, we work with trusted subcontractors as well as employees. All of our subcontractors and employees work exclusively for Jacob’s Ladder, ensuring consistency, reliability, and high-quality craftsmanship. Each one has been thoroughly vetted and trained to meet our professional standards.
  • What is the difference between a manufacturer's warranty and a company/labor warranty?
    A manufacturer's warranty covers defects in the materials themselves, such as siding, roofing shingles, or windows, and varies by product and brand. A company/labor warranty covers our workmanship—ensuring the installation was done correctly. If an issue arises due to installation errors within the warranty period, we will make the necessary repairs at no cost to you.
  • How often should I have my house power washed?
    We recommend power washing your home at least once a year to remove dirt, mold, and mildew buildup. If your home is surrounded by trees or exposed to heavy weather conditions, you may benefit from power washing every 6–9 months.
  • Do you have a warranty for small carpentry/trim repairs?
    Yes, we provide a one-year labor warranty on all small carpentry and trim repairs. This covers workmanship issues and ensures your repair holds up as expected. Material warranties vary based on the product used.
  • I would like to move forward with my project. Do you have financing options?
    Yes, we do! We offer financing options through trusted partners to help make your project more affordable. During your consultation, we’ll be happy to walk you through the financing application process and available terms.
  • Do you have high pressure salespeople?

  • How can I tell which business to work with for my home project?

  • What do your interior painting services include?
    Our services include prep work such as covering areas not being painted, removing switch plates and outlet covers where applicable, scraping loose paint, sanding surfaces, filling nail/fastener holes where directed, caulking where necessary, and dusting prior to painting.
  • Do we have a minimum number of rooms or scope of work required for interior painting projects?
    Yes, due to our paint crew sizes we have a minimum of three rooms.
  • How many years of expertise does Jacob's Ladder have doing interior painting?
    30 years.
  • What steps do we take when prepping the surrounding area for painting?
    Prep includes covering areas not being painted (with plastic), removing switch plates and outlet covers where applicable, scraping loose paint, sanding surfaces, filling nail/fastener holes where directed, caulking where necessary, and dusting prior to painting.
  • How long does an interior painting project take?
    A: Two to three rooms can be completed in one day. A whole house takes approximately seven working days.
  • Can/will you leave any extra paint?
    Yes, we are happy to leave any leftover paint from your project for future touch-ups. If there’s not enough left over, we can also provide the color codes and product details so you can easily purchase more when needed.
  • How long will one coat of Emerald Paint last?
    A paint job should be recoated every 6-8 years, exterior. When properly applied, one coat of Sherwin-Williams, depending on weather conditions and the surface it’s applied to. For the best durability and appearance, we generally recommend two coats. 40% discount year-round on paint.Cashmere for the walls, utherthane for trim, purdi premier ,roller wraps, and exterior emerald.
  • How long will one coat of deck stain last till recoat is required?
    A single coat of deck stain typically lasts 2–3 years before a recoat is needed. Longevity depends on sun exposure, foot traffic, and weather conditions. Regular cleaning and maintenance can help extend the life of the finish.
  • Will your replacement windows and replacement exterior doors improve my home’s energy efficiency?
